Also, since you apply to CSUs=1 app, UCs=1app, Alabama= 1app so that’s 3 apps for 10 colleges, you can easily apply to 2-3 more common app OOS colleges (Case Western? Tulane? ASU Barrett? UMN? All if them?)
That’d still be only 6 apps… And since you’re not sure about your major it gives you a bit more time to decide.
well UMN doesnt have essays, so all the apps are pretty easy. i just gotta worry about UC’s essays.
So I made my finalized list, but I am worried I have too many reaches. I have enough safeties so it is fine.
Is this fine list?
Cal Poly SLO- materials
Cal Poly Pomona- chemE
UCLA- biochem
UCI-biochem
UCSD-human bio
UCD- biochem
UCR- biochem
UCSB- chemE
USC- Biochem
Alabama- chemE
UMTC- chemE
Rice- biochem
Northwestern- materials
I can pay for all 13 of these schools, and I would really want to go to all of them.
I decided to apply for Rice, USC, Northwestern because they are top reaches for me, but I want to try my best to get in.
I also received a 1490 on last SAT, so I can get the Presidential Scholarship at Alabama!
I don’t know if I should apply to UC Berkely though. It’s a good school, but I would attend most UC’s over it. It is still a school I would somewhat consider. Should I just apply to see if I get in, and if I do, I would have more options to choose from because I have only toured a few campuses (UCLA, UCSB, UCSD, USC, Northwestern)
