I am applying to Stony Brook, NYU, Binghamton, and Quinnipiac University. Which University out of the ones that I am applying to is the best for nursing?
A few questions:
Are they all direct admit?
Can you afford these schools?
Are you a NYS resident?
You may want to post this on the nursing forum, lots of active and knowledgeable posters to help guide you.
Probably not NYU since you probably won’t get full aid. No point in spending a lot of money on a nursing degree. The pay is the same no matter where you get your degree.
What are the net costs for each school?
How much will your family pay each year?
@ashley46834 Yes. Please post in the nursing forum. There is a thread on NYU Rory Meyers Nursing also a thread on acceptances etc. Lots of us going through the same thing. Quinnipiac and Binghamton are direct while Stony Brook is pre-nursing. You definitely need to know your budget and what your parents/you can ultimately afford. Direct programs are good because you are working with the other students and the stress of getting picked is over. If not direct you will be applying for nursing at soph or junior year against classmates and some competitive schools do not promote you on without certain gpas, prep scores for the NCLEX., requirements, applications etc
