I'm going to be transferring the fall. Should I live on North Campus with freshman and some transfers, or on West Campus? What are the exact building names that are the best for me to try to get into?

You said you were going to be there for 4 years, right? Live on north campus with the freshmen because they'll be there for 4 years also. Plus it's friendlier on north campus (since everyone is new) as opposed to West Campus where everyone lives with their friends and are already sort of doing their own thing. The transfer center isn't a bad idea but you'll meet more people and have more fun on North, assuming you don't mind reliving the freshman experience again.

The only thing I was wondering about was that Cornell said they have a lot of transfers, right? So if there is a large population of transfers somewhere, shouldn't I be living with them for the most comfortabel peer group?

There is a Transfer Center dorm on West Campus which is mostly filled with transfer students, surprise surprise. They'll be in the same boat as you but most of them will be graduating in 2 or 3 years though.

On North you'll meet a lot of people (more than on west) that you'll be seeing around for all four years. West Campus isn't a great place for meeting people aside from the transfer center. Maybe some transfers can chime in with their experiences but I would recommend North.

The transfer center is an S-hole. If you can make it onto north, do it.

yeah i heard that the transfer center is really old and crappy. lol. Still, it's agood way for transfer to meet. I would feel so fustrated if i had to room with a freshmen. :)
