Im headin out to the farm next week, and I was wondering if anyone knew of a sweet place to pose for a picture. Preferably somewhere that just screams california, sunshine, etc. You get the idea. Thanks!!

Everywhere on campus :)

If you only have room for just one, look at the link below, and I’d recommend taking a picture near the lower right benches (angled away so the satellite isn’t in the photo) or stand underneath the decidous tree near the steps if you want something closer to the church. If there aren’t many people around, stand underneath the arch and try to get the entire church and some glimpse of the mountains in the background (probably will need to hold the camera vertically to do that).

It’s true that it’s hard to take a bad picture at Stanford. On move-in day last fall I took a few shots as we walked to the dinner with the provost - the last event of the day. I was exhausted, sad from saying good-bye to my S, and could hardly frame a shot. But they all turned out great, and they all looked like they were from another world – quite different from the midwest, anyway!

I agree with #2. You’d be hard pressed to find a better spot on a sunny day than looking at MemChu from Palm Drive.

Yep, anywhere on the Oval, really. You can do it facing the Quad or Palm Drive; either one works. Also next to Meyer library could be good. Or by the lake if there’s water in it by then. Or sneak into Stanford Stadium and take a picture by the arches above the north end zone.

You probably don’t have time, but the top of the walk up to the Dish is absolutely beautiful!
