Hello, what is the best prep book for SAT math? I am consistently getting 740-760 in SAT math and want to bump that up to an 800.

I’ve heard that Gruber’s is the best, but I’ve also heard that Barron’s Math Workbook is decent…Not sure because I haven’t bought any yet :P

The Barron’s Math Workbook is okay, but it has some mistakes in it. It reviews skills and concepts but it’s not strictly SAT math. I used it and I got a 730, 800, 800 on math (yes, I took the SAT three times).
The Gruber’s book is better than the Barron’s- most of the problems are pretty on par with what you’d expect out of the SAT math section. But some of the problems in Gruber’s are way too hard to ever appear on the SAT. After you take lots of official practice tests, you get a feel for which questions are the way-too-hard ones.
Since you’re getting 740-760, I’d say that you have a pretty good math foundation and just need some extra practice (since you’re only a couple problems away from an 800). In that case, I would recommend Gruber’s.
Also, cut out/copy math problems that you get wrong and put these in a notebook. Review these problems and make sure you really understand why you got them wrong.

I suggest Gruber’s if you wish to be in the 700’s and Dr. Chung’s for a student that wishes to score that elusive 800.

Dr chungs and Power score SAT math bible got me over 700.
