What's the best way to prepare for the Math section? Any books you would recommend?

I highly recommend BARRON’S Math Workbook, it hepled me to increase my score from 460-640 in 2-3 weeks.

Gruber’s Math Workbook.

Which Barrons book (or other prepbook entirely) is the one that is rather difficult but has a gazillion problems for math that really help you get better? I read it once on the forums but I can’t find the post anymore. I already own Gruber’s Complete (which problems, btw, are supposed to be the difficult ones? Should you just take the math section of their sat tests instead of the whole deal?)

For Gruber’s Workbook, I would suggest to do all the test, strategies, refreshers, and possibly the tests. I found their questions to be a little sketchy so I avoided them, but you can make your own decision.=)

Well Gruber’s is the best. Barron’s would come second in my list. I only did the refreshers cuz I know every topic tested on the SAT. Gruber’s helped me to brush up my skills and avoid silly mistakes, and I know a friend who did Gruber’s for Math too. She wasn’t very good at math sections, but she boosted approx. 200 pts. Also, hobbithill, you may want to use TPR for MATH ONLY. TPR has challenging questions.

BARRON’S SAT 23rd edition. As someone from cc-ers said “rediciluously explains every detail”

^ The word “ridiculously”, as said in the context, has a very, very negative connotation.

I like BARRON’S prep. books.

^ I do not like them, and most CC’ers concur that every SAT/PSAT/AP/Subject Test book from Barron’s, in general, is an inadequate study aid. The only good books I found for Barron’s were AP: Statistics and AP: Psychology, but generally, Barron’s SAT may be avoided.

it’s prattle that students don’t like BARRON’S. On first page they wrote that student #1 choice.

^ Do you have any statistics that juxtapose the number of Barron’s copies sold to that of other prep guides?

It’s my opinion. You cannot say that I’m right/wrong.If you have your, keep it on your mind,ok?

Opinion? Then how so is Barron’s #1 choice of students? Oh, perhaps I am misguided. Perhaps it is #1 choice of Suleyman. Yes, that’s what the book is.

Unless validated by facts, many CC’ers and I will refuse to concur.

What do you mean? Your grammar is garbled.

Agree it’s #1 choice of me.

^your grammar is atrocious. I don’t even know what you are trying to say.

^Agreed. 10char

GreedIsGood,
I’m taking examples of such ***** like you.

Suleyman95 has declared war on GreedIsGood!

temperature is rising…
