once you have finished the blue collegeboard book, which prep book should you use next? preferably in CR: barron's, gruber's, princeton review, 11 practice test by princeton review...any more? analysis on these books would be helpful.

After the blue book, all you can do is read regular books and get better at reading. The other prep books will just be giving the same tips all over again.

If you want more practice, get the 11 practice tests from PR.

Both PR books are extremely useful. They have really good answer explanations and the tests are pretty realistic.

Hi, I'm new here. I'm a junior and I'll be taking the SAT's in May. It'd be wonderful if you could give me your opinion on which SAT prep book would be more helpful for the math portion. From what I've read in other threads, Grubers or Barrons seem to top the list. How do their strategies differ? Which book provides more reasonable explanations/solutions? Thanks in advance!!

I am a student who worked with both Grubers and Barrons. I think the Math Workbook for the Barrons is much better. Grubers is very infomative, but it has many errors and the explanations can be quite tedious. Barrons are neatly arranged by section, and contains challenging problems that is definitely helpful in developing a critical math brain. I definitely recommend the math workbook published by Barrons.

Thanks so much Joe0314!! I'll be looking for the Barrons math workbook tomorrow at the bookstore.
