Best Prep Books for Bio-M and Math II?

I will be taking the Biology-M and Math Level II SAT Subject Tests in October 2012.

I've already taken several subject tests but my scores are not high enough. This time I am buckling down and studying to assure scores in the 780-800 range, shooting for 800 on both. I'm a senior this year taking AP Calculus AB, and I scored a 5 on the AP Biology exam last year after two years of Biology (one year Pre-AP, one year AP).

Between 5 Steps to a 5, Barron's, Princeton Review, and ALL THE OTHERS, what are the best review books to assure 800's on these exams? I'm a visual learner who benefits from diagrams, and I'm fine with getting multiple books.

Bummp im taking the same exams … and would like to also know :DD

I did a lot of research on this site and I found that the best prep books are:

Math Level II
Barron’s (overpreps but ensures 800)
CB Official Guide to Math Level 1 + 2 (official tests)
+SparkNotes

Biology-M
Barron’s
Princeton Review

I went ahead and ordered these four books. Thanks CC, here’s to some upcoming 800’s! :D

Lol wow thanks so much  … do u think barrons and princeton also would be the best for biology-E … im pretty sure im going to take the M version but not positive

I’m sure these books would be just as good for Bio-E. I don’t see why they would not be!

Yeah, you can generally trust Barron’s for any math or science SAT IIs.

Good luck on those two tests, those were the exact ones I took as well :3

Barrons is the key book.

I took Bio E and got an 800 with Princeton Review. However, while I was taking Bio E I looked at the M section and I could predict myself at least a 780. So I would go PR! their books are really indepth, which is what I like since I like to overprepare :P

Math II, I used PR as well. But Math ii I feel like if you are proficient in math or a math savvy wizard, you can really use any math ii book (Barron’s, Kaplan, PR, etc) and still do very well in it. PR brushes up well on all the concepts needed, and I ended up getting a 780 - due to basically 2 weeks of studying. If studied in great detail, I can almost guarantee you an 800 if you use PR.

I’ll just flip a coin to see which prep book i should get (princeton or barrons) im very very good at math so im not worried bout tht … but bio-m i am lol

im taking Ap bio now though so its all good

I’ve heard that the Dr. Chung book is really helpful for the Math II, have yet to look into it though.
