My scores became available today and I'm really, really disappointed. I did a 540 in Math, 540 in Writing and 590 in CR (which is weird since English is not my native language). There are a few external reasons for which I think I got such low scores, but there's no point in mentioning them.
I struggled with math the most. I thought I did good in Writing, but apparently I was just as terrible as with math.
It was my first time taking the SAT. I did spend a decent amount of time practicing, but I don't think I did it the right way.
I read the blue book and took about 4 or 5 practice tests. I also read the math strategies part from Barron's.
Anyway, I am taking the test in December again and would like to get a 1900, although I don't know if that's possible at all.
What do you think is the best way to prepare in my case? What are the best books to improve Math? I struggle with functions and graphs the most. I really don't know why I got such a low Writing score.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thank you.
