Best Religion Programs?

<p>I am seeking your advice on the best Religion programs in the country. I am not talking about a "faith based" program leading to divinity school. I am referring to the academic study of religion and comparative religions.</p>

<p>Chicago,Yale, Harvard. Personally I would opt for Chicago</p>

<p>Among public universities, UCSB used to be well known for the quality of its program. Not sure if it enjoys the same reputation today.</p>

<p>In the South, Emory, Vanderbilt, UVa, and Duke are notable. All four offer extremely strong religion programs, and biblical archaeology is also popular at these.</p>
