best route to go to get into Ibanking

Well heres what im going with
Frosh: 3 gpa
Soph: 3.7 gpa
Junior: 3.8
Senior: 3.9( predicted)
i have 2250 sat great EC's, 5 AP's and im sure I'm going to get strong recs
What colleges and should i go for with these grades. Im a URM and im poor if that helps. What TOP TARGET SCHOOL will i have the best chance at? Pretty sure harvard and wharton are out of the question. Im applying undergrad.

you should try NYU. NOt as prestigious overall as harvard and wharton (meaning its easier to get into), but business-wise for IB its right there with them.

Hey Hopeless2NU,

check out the undergraduate business ranking:

[Top Undergraduate Business Programs 2010 - Businessweek](<a href=“Bloomberg - Are you a robot?”>Bloomberg - Are you a robot?)

Especially, UVA has a reputed business program.

Since I am from Europe, I would also advise you to apply to Oxford/Cambridge since it’s pretty easy to get into them if you’re an International Student (anyone who is not British or EU citizen). Your grades are good enough. Also a little tip, Oxford and Cambridge have both more than 30 colleges…you basically apply to one of the colleges…there are intern rankings…[Tompkins Table - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](<a href=“Tompkins Table - Wikipedia”>Tompkins Table - Wikipedia) is the Cambridge ranking…<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norrington_Table...that’s[/url]">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norrington_Table...that’s</a> the Oxford ranking…the trick is to apply to the lower ranked colleges of Oxbridge…at the end, you are still a Oxford/Cambridge student…and the degree of all students is the same as well!

Hope it helped!

Best of luck,
Laila

Shoot for Wharton/Harvard/Princeton, and no, they are not out of the question.

But they are very selective, so don’t bank on getting in.

I would aim for Michigan (Ross), it’s a superb business program, and a big target school for IB. NYU (Stern) is also another good choice, as is UVA (McIntire). Other Ivies are good bets as well.

Don’t discount elite LACs either—Amherst/Williams are good choices, perhaps Middleburry, maybe Claremont McKenna.

Best of luck!

Definitely Claremont Mckenna. Most of the Bulge and Boutique Banks recruit on campus and this year we had at least 7 to 10 students receive SA internship offers, including my son.
