I already bought a Kaplan book, but it sucks and I'm not doing as well as I wanted to so I'm gonna buy another prep book - which one should I get?

I've heard Barron's is all right, but I was wondering about people's thoughts about that one as opposed to P-ton Review or possibly some other one?

Barron's is the best....and for more practice (which you probably won't need) you can get Meylani's one. Both are excellent prep sources for SAT II math.

I thought PR was pretty good...but from my own personal experience once i was done studying, the last practice tests I took were the 2 that were in teh Offical Collegeboard Math SAT II book (the title is something like that). Otherwise i used PR and Barron for content/practice problems. i thought PR was good, the practice tests were similar, and barrons is a great help if you can at least get through it.

Barron's over-prepares you for the test, which is good (better to know a few additional things than to make mistakes due to lack of knowledge). I'd recommend you use both PR and Barron's. The most important thing in Math II is time, so complete several practice tests and increase your test taking speed.

So many people get 800s on this test, its going to make me look bad if I dont get one

Don't say that! It won't make you look bad at all, I am sure there are people who get into good schools without getting 800's on the Math SATII - though it is a good goal to reach for

I just used Sparknotes, and I got an 800....I really liked it, they outlined all the topics really well. Plus, it's free! The practice tests cost money, but it's only $15, which is less than most other books I've seen.

i had barron's but hated it, and the actual test didn't have quite the same question types. read the lessons in barron's though, because those are pretty good. i used mcgraw hill's.
