hey guys,
i didnt do as well as i hoped on my SATs...
especially the critical reading part
so i was wondering which prep book would be the best?

barrons critical reading workbook
or sparknotes?
or master peterson's
or gruber's?
or whatever else?

also i feel like vocab is my biggest problem, so i was looking to buy some flash cards, has anyone ever used some and felt like they were really helpful? like the SAT words in a flash by barrons?

I really want to get into NYU, and I'm actually considering Stern business school, and it is high competitive and selective. I'm also flexible though, Boston University would also be nice. So i really need to increase my SAT scores

For CR, the best thing to do is read. I’m big fan of the Economist, but only because I’m majoring in international studies. :p

If you want to specifically improve vocab, I would just use websites like [FreeRice and SAT/ACT/GRE Vocabulary Game |VocabKing.com](http://www.freerice.com) . I had Gruber’s 3500 word list, and I only made it to the Cs, I think. Don’t stress over vocab- there’s only what, 12 questions a test?

For passages, do BB practice tests, and any other Lit passage based reading tests. (AP, ACT, or even graduate school prep books) I’m not a big fan of spending tons of money on SAT prep- just use what your library has.And sparknotes online, which is free.
