<p>hey you guys, </p>

<p>I need some help on picking the best sat prep books and i know there has been a lot of threads on this but it would help me out a lot.
So far i've bought: </p>

<p>-Barron's Critical Reading Workbook
-Kaplan SAT, 2007 Edition: Comprehensive Program
-Princeton Cracking the SAT, 2007 Edition
- Princeton 11 Practice Tests for the SAT and PSAT, 2007
-The Official SAT Study Guide
-Barron's how to prepare for SATS </p>

<p>What other workbooks are good for writing/ math and also critical reading? and also is Up Your Score good on strategy because i hear a lot of stuff about it and does Spark notes 1000 words help? Last but not least is there any other comprehensive guide that i missed out on....Grubers? </p>

<p>sparknotes 1000 words are available online, but seriously just use the books you have right now... that should be more than enough.</p>

<p>Don't buy anymore I think you have more than enough. My D did not go through all of her books either.</p>

<p>Sorry, I didn't know your whole username ><, I'm currently using the same books as you. Do you use collegeboard? I used the Barron's critical reading workbook and I did pretty good. It's kind of strange because there was a big difference between my scores of collegeboard and Barron's. </p>

<p>If you don't mind me asking, what score do you have currently? and what are you aiming for? I apologize if I'm being too direct. I would just like to see if I'm very behind or average. Do you guys think it is possible for me to raise 500 points by the March test date?</p>

<p>all you guys that buy two dozen books for the SAT must be pretty dumb. It doesn't take all that. One or two should be fine.</p>

<p>We just like to take that extra step. I might as well, I like to get a taste of all the companies, and decide for myself what advice to use where.</p>

<p>The more practice, the better. It's all about how much effort you're willing to put in.</p>

<p>you only need one or two books to score 2300+. I didn't mean to call you guys dumb, but i feel sorry for you. It sucks that you have to waste your money while others can just use one prep book and still score the same or higher then you. but everyone's different so.........</p>

<p>the only reason to use a vast amount of books, is to get comfortable with the strategies that are beneficial to you. You are given many strategies with the different books, but mainly choose the ones that you are most comfortable with. I personally don't believe you can achieve a 2300+ with 2 books. though one book you can't live without is the Blue Book. Some people are just not great test takers and these books give different solutions to tackle those problems. So if your willing to spend on something productive why not for the sat?</p>

<p>Yes its sad that others achieve higher than you. They may be a more smarter and logicial reasoner then you, but in the long run its not about others but mainly how you feel with your sat score.</p>
