Best SAT Prep Course

All I'll say is I'm in the Northeast...what are the best Nation-wide or Region-wide SAT prep courses? I only know of the Kaplan one (which pretty much sucks by unanimous decision).

Anywhere asian operates.

Princeton Review sucks. I scored a 1690 (400cr 720m 570w 12e) on their first diagnostic test on the first day of class. On the 5 class, I took diagnostic test 2 and scared a 1580 (380cr 680m 520w 8e). I do not understand why my scores went down on every section. I did ALL of PR's homework. I spend atleast a few hours doing it and trying to understand everything. I looked up EVERY single vocab word in their workbook that I did not understand. I studied their flashcards weekly (totalling 120). Now I know what all the words mean. For the math part, I post problems I did not understand on here (CC). Then I review them all until I do understand them all. But what is this I see?... A 110 POINT DROP!!... I thought it was suppose to go the other way (up)... I guess PR's "200 Points Guarantee" means "200 Points [drop] Guarantee." It's really sad. I am sad. :(

I hear Kaplan purposely gives you low grades to make you think you're improving. All my friends in the course got 1's on their first essays which is definitely not true (As my English teacher confirmed.)

my score went down during the Princeton review course,
Kaplan isn't good neither, I heard
most of the teachers teach by the book, so just buy a book and study on your own.
Also, the teachers are not that good neither, they are often recent grads from crappy state universities, which I'm not saying is bad.
but how can they teach when they did not get a good score themselves during highschool
unless you can find a professional private tutor, or someone who's good at sat, don't waste your money on anything

So if ur gettn good scores like 1900s or 2000s on kaplan or pr's practice tests, are u bound to get like a 2100-2200 on the real thing?

There is no such thing as a good SAT Prep course. Your best resources are practice tests. Then collegeconfidential :)

And Xiqqi's advice.

Everyone I've talked to has recommended PR. I am really surprised to see lil_killer's major point drop. That's unusual but honestly, you can't just blame it on the course. If they were that bad they wouldn't be the #1 prep company for SAT. Use the guarantee, dude, and call them. They'll work with you for free. Did you talk to the teacher after class? If your teacher sucked you're supposed to be able to ask for a different one.
