Hello. I am arctic_monkey's mother, and I am wondering what the best SAT Prep Courses in the Northeast area are. I think my daughter posted on this web site inquiring about it before, but didn't get much response. Thank you.

IMHO the best one is Princeton Review's. I have what seems like a ton of their books, and the approach is easy to follow and to apply to similar tests (the only ones that are better are the official practice tests, but I didn't find anything better for strategy, for any of the tests I got books for). So based on my experience and their reputation as an SAT test prep leader, I would recommend them. They're based in NJ or NYC or something, so they're probably really strong in the Northeast.

I took the Princeton Review in preparing for the SAT. I also examined materials from Kaplan and Compass (based in California so not sure if that's even an option) and I highly recommend the Princeton Review. They are strategy-based rather than content based, and help students maximize what they already know. Plus, you have the option of classes, one-on-one tutoring, or even online tutorials. The classes are very fun.

I liked Princeton Review best also. They have good tips and strategies to attack problems with.
