Best SAT preparation method for OCTOBER 2014

So I took the SAT in January and I did not get a very good score. I am retaking it in October, which is about 3ish months away. What methods of studying to you guys recommend? Like how many hours per day, what books, etc. My goal is a 2100.
thx!

It depends on each individual, so I can’t really comment on how many hours you have to study.
I can, however, tell you some books that might be helpful.

Buy the College Board Official guide to the SAT (a.k.a Blue Book) as well as the online SAT course by college board. Go through the practice tests to diagnose yourself. Once you know your strengths and weaknesses, buy books to improve or strengthen them.

For Math, buy Grubbers and/or Dr. Chung’s book.
For CR, buy Direct Hits volume 1 and 2.
For Writing, get Grammatix or the Black book. Also, there are a lot of posts on CC about 12 essay examples. There are some extremely helpful pieces of advice, you might want to search a bit more.

Hope that helps. Cheers on the next SAT.

@ultimatesat I got petersons, barrons, and princeton for math and I already have Direct hits for CR. Im using barrons for writing as well. PR for CR and writing.

Has anyone tried the princeton review SAT premium edition 2015? thoughts?

Yes, you can definitely improve your scores in 3 months. After spending thousands of dollars on tutors and prep classes since sophomore year, the only thing that is making a substantial difference is self-studying the College Board test and answers. The explanations are your guide to success. You have to really understand why there is only one correct answer. This is particularly true on the CR section. Also, working with another person when you get to the wrong answer reviews can be helpful, too. Having said that, Dr. Chung’s has proven to be helpful for Math.
