I’m a senior in high school and its time for me to start deciding on whats next, and I want to major in engineering and minor in business. I was wondering what schools have good engineering and business programs. My sat score is a 1340 (700M & 640R), I know they aren’t the best but that all I have. Also i’m an asian american who goes to a high needs school and i’m 6th in my class of 760. I have passed APUSH with a 3 and APCALC with a 4, currently taking AP PHYSICS, AP STATS, AP MACRO, & AP LIT. Also I have am a commanding officer for my platoon in my school division of JROTC. I also belong to clubs like Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, and I mentor/tutor the underclassmen, as well as being a member of the National Honor Society. I would love if the school is near my home, Northern New Jersey/ New York City.

Lehigh has a very well renowned Integrated business and engineering program, if you’re looking to double major instead. If you do decide to enroll in the IBE program at Lehigh, you would likely need spend a fifth year, to gain both degrees.
What is your budget? Are you going to do ROTC in college?
Purdue
SUNY
RIT
RPI
Stevens
Rutgers
Rowan
I’m not going to do rotc in college

Lehigh is prominent for both business and engineering in the NJ area. In fact, they enroll more students from NJ than from any other state, even though they are in PA. Your stats seem like a fit.
Lehigh offers a business minor, so it is possible to major in engineering and minor in business, as suggested in the original post. There is also the combined IBE program, but I’ve heard that the admissions to IBE are much more competitive than to the business or engineering schools alone. It’s possible to graduate from IBE in 4 years, but in that case you only get an accredited business degree (along with a lot of engineering, but no formal engineering qualification). You can add an accredited engineering degree, but this normally takes an extra semester or two.
Lehigh has decent financial aid, but if you are an NJ resident, then a state school like Rutgers, TCNJ, or Rowan would probably cost less. Rowan is up-and-coming for engineering and would likely offer merit aid for your SATs.
