IBE Program

I'm very interested in Lehigh's Integrated Business and Engineering Program.
Does anyone know how hard it is to get in?

Thanks!

I don't have many statistics, except that on my visit, during the information session, they basically said don't even bother applying unless you have at least 1400 SATs for math and reading. However, two of my friends that attend the school say its actually not that difficult to transfer to the program from a different major.

Can someone provide more info for the IBE program in general?
Whats it all about?

contrary to the person above me's opinion of transfering from a regular college in lehigh into the IBE program being easy, is very wrong. i am in the college of arts and sciences and transfering to the business college easily. however, the slots for the IBE program are VERY limited. may i say it again? VERY LIMITED. i know of only like 5 people in it. seeing how i know around a hundred or so people in lehigh. so im guessing its very competitive to get in.

and you need to maintain a 3.25 gpa to stay in it, which is really hard here. most people in it already have a lot, and i mean A LOT of AP credit who are in it.

IBE is only really worth it if you stay the 5th year and get the full business and engineering degrees. Besides the GPA min, the only other main difference is that there are a few product development courses, and some enrichment courses. All of which are group projects, require time, but are easy. In terms of courses all classes are the same taken with all other engineering students. I graduated with a traditional engineering degree in ISE. I have friends who did IBE in Chem E, EE, and IE, they seemed to like the prod dev courses. If you want both degrees go for it in 5 and get a 3.75 so its free, otherwise go regular engineering.
