what are some of the best schools for entertainment law?
Is it better to pick USC over Yale to become an entertainment lawyer?

What is an entertainment lawyer? Someone who works in the entertainment business?

Yale would be better because of the alumni base. I'm sure most people in the entertainment industry didn't even get their JD in Entertainment law.

bump...................

USC, Loyola Marymount, Yeshiva

Is it better to pick USC over Yale to become an entertainment lawyer?

No. Unless your dad is Steven Spielberg, you're not going to just hang out your shingle after law school and start brokering movie deals. You're going to need to get hired at a firm with a strong entertainment practice. The best way to do that is to build the strongest resume you can. USC over Georgetown to work in LA, sure, but never over Yale.

What is entertainment law? Curious.

how is stanford for entertainment law?

and would you choose NYU law over a higher ranked school b/c of its central location in NYC?

This is silly. There is not a right school for "Enterntainment law." Simply go to the best school you can go, and make sure you develop a network of contacts over time. The top schools in CA and NY should do nicely, and you can never go wrong with H&Y.
