Best school in Japanese

(n/m my last post)

I am thinking of double majoring for Music Business and Japanese or just major in Japanese and minor in music. Which schools has an awesome program for Japanese?

How about the schools in Maryland, D.C., Hawaii, Virginia, Oregon, and California? I am not looking for just big names and very excellent academics but something that is well rounded to. Not looking for a Yale or a Harvard type of school.

And have about recommendations for these schools:

Portland State University
Pacific University (in Oregon)
University of Hawaii at Manoa and Hilo
Georgetown University (I know are an Ivy League type of school but I love their programs, majors, and how they want to experience your major)

Thanks.

This is a well known choice, but I remember that one of the top 5 LACs have an agreement with the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA (great grad school for language). Swarthmore, if I remember correctly. Dunno what the agreement entails, but thought it was interesting.

Earlham College in Indiana.
My best friend goes there and I think they have the longest relationship with Japan (something like since the 19th century, maybe early 20th) of any school in the country. He told me the Japanese classes are super competitive and they're one of the biggest (if not the biggest) majors on campuses.
Lots of study abroad opportunities, as well as just a giant culture of people speaking Japanese and studying the culture.
