<p>Since you are interested in neuroscience, but as a path to medical school not to work in the area, you might try looking for schools you like that happen to have neuroscience and a successful pre-med track record and work from that angle. You can take neuroscience at either a university or a LAC, some people prefer one over another and they key here is to be in a learning environment in which you will do your best. </p>
<p>D is doing the neuroscience/pre-med track at a LAC, she passed over “better” neuroscience programs to get the school she wanted, although the program she is in is very good. But the school for her was more important, as long as the program was good enough. If you want neuroscience with big football weekends and blowout Greek parties, go for that if it will enhance your chances at being happy, which generally means higher grades.</p>
