Neuroscience Major vs. Pre-Med

Hey everybody! So I am currently a junior in high school and I was looking into being a medical neurologist, such as working at a hospital but specializing in neurology. My question is. . . would it be better to go into an undergraduate school and achieve a neuroscience major or to do a pre-med program with my college of choice. Now I'm not terribly sure how a pre-med program works so this might be a dumb question but if you guys could help me out that'd be great!! Also if you could recommend some schools for me to research that would also be very helpful. Thanks!!!

Pre-med is not a major. It is a series of basic science courses. If you complete an undergraduate program in neuroscience, you will almost certainly take every single one of the pre-med courses. If you complete an undergraduate degree in biology, you will almost certainly take every single one of the pre-med courses.
