Best Subject Test To Self-Study

<p>Chem, bio, or something else?</p>

<p>I am a rising senior and I have not taken a lick of Biology yet (my school system is retarded--most schools mandate taking bio freshman year but mine does not require it till senior year). However, I have just finished AP Chem but I virtually learned close to nil (once again, my school's fault for giving first time Chem students an AP class without prior knowledge) and my AP score will probably be a 1, though I have not received it yet.</p>

<p>My problem lies here. I don't know if I should self-study Chemistry or Biology for the subject test November. Also, which book is best for self-studying each of these subjects from scratch? I have my Zundahl chem text book on me but never knew what a valuable source it is until now. Could have helped me for ap...</p>

<p>oh well, any suggestions? are there any easier subjects to self-study from scratch other than US History and Math L1 and L2?</p>

<p>ps - so far i have PR's Cracking the SAT Chemistry Subject Test 2005-2006 edition and the Kaplan SAT Subject Test: Chemistry 2005-2006 edition. Nothing on bio yet.</p>

<p>Remember, I'm starting from scratch and have no prior knowledge.</p>

<p>I would say self study for Math. It is pre-calc stuff so it shouldnt be too hard to learn</p>

<p>Yeah, that would be great...only that I have already taken Math (and USHistory and Lit). I just need one more because I did terrible in one of them and refuse to take it again.</p>

<p>math: 570 (a VERY ugly number. i'm not a bad math person; just went through some interesting circumstances in which i'd rather not name...)</p>

<p>lit: 620 (the poetry surprised me! but i cant say i was surprised by my score. i will def prep for nov, though. aiming 730+. )</p>

<p>ushistory: 660 (even though i scored the highest here, i am particularly upset at this score because i spent 90% of my time seriously prepping for it only to come on test day and get hit by the awful cramps. the cramps subsided by the time i got to the middle of my second subject - math.)</p>

<p>so there you have it. i am retaking lit, math, and one more i need help deciding upon.</p>
