Best Textbooks for Chemistry?

What are the best books to use for chemistry? I am looking for chemistry textbooks that are suited to AP or IB chemistry.

The Zumdahl series is good. Although our class uses Lamay and Brown, I have no complaints.

We use Brown, Lemay, and Bursten along with Zumdahl.

Zumdahl is excellent. If you digest it well, it may even prepare you for the Olympiad.

I think Brown, Lemay Bursten was an awesome book. It explained things very well but Zumdahl is much more widely used (a lot of people seem to like it too, though I myself never had the chance to use it).

Zumdahl! Okay, sometimes it's hard to read, but the chapter problems really stretch your mind sometimes

I agree with sous. The problems are excellent, but Zumdahl gives very dense explanations of the topic.

zumdhal. sometimes i dont like how they explain things. but overall its pretty good

if you just want to prepare for the AP test, princeton review will suffice.

the zumdahl is a horrible book imo

Our class used Brown, LeMay and Bursten.

My class uses Zumdahl.

Chemistry: The Central Science.

(Brown, LeMay, Bursten)
