@flatKansas I totally get what you are talking about when it comes to travelling from the midwest. Driving will be impossible for us - it’s just too far - and even air travel is a hassle because it will involve multiple flights.

Thanks for all the great insight on the best time to visit. Our current plan is to wait and see if daughter is accepted (fingers crossed!) and then visit on a long weekend to avoid missing too much school.

Good luck @sdteak Your post prompted us to go ahead and set up a second visit, through the HC, for a long weekend in October. We flew last time, but will drive this time (about 9 hours), to give D17 the true sense of where she will be!
