i am not talking about wharton tier. well, i am gonna be at virginia tech, and i dont know where vt business school stands, but can somoene recommend some higher ranked schools thats possible to transfer out to?

mich
haas
sloan, maybe

whats haas... and sloan. where are they. i am guessing they are in top 10. i need some in 30's

Haas is the business school at UC Berkeley and it has an ugrad division. unfortunately, it'd be almost impossible to transfer from out of state to there.

Sloan is MIT's business program, so yeah... LOL

UVA's McIntire School of Business.

unfortunately, it'd be almost impossible to transfer from out of state to there.

WHY??

the reason is because it is a UC school. UC schools have agreements with california community colleges for transfers, so basically all transfers come from these community colleges. It is even hard to transfer from a Cal state or another UC school let alone from out of state since community college students get nearly all of the transfer spots.

Indiana is a possibility

What is your SAT and GPA? That would give us a good idea, of good b-schools for you.

1300; 4.38 weighted; 3.68 uw. 53/488 high school stats. yet to attend college

Uh, what do you mean just 'maybe'? Are you saying that you don't really believe that Sloan is a good business school?

no

i'm saying that sloan is maybe on that "level" the OP is talking about
..but it's not really

Wharton (Penn)
Stern (NYU)

berkely(haas), MIT(sloan), nyu(stern), usc(marshall), iu-bloomington(kelly)

Marshall (USC) is up there.

Crichessill: You might want to post your question on the Undergraduate Business forum: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/forumdisplay.php?f=499. They might have some good advice for you! Some of the schools mentioned (i.e. Sloan, Stern, Michigan) are considered "Wharton tier" to use your terminology. You might get interesting ideas from the above mentioned thread. On another note, have you looked into University of Texas, McCombs School of Business? http://www.mccombs.utexas.edu/

McCombs at UT is awesome, but hard to get into (not nearly as hard as Wharton and Co., though).

Safety- Indiana
Match/Safety- Michigan
Slight Reach-NYU

UT would be some what hard to get into, granted your out of state.

georgetown, mcdonough school of business :)
