I've been scoring in the 560 - 600 range in math, while I'm in the high 600s - low 700s in the other two. Ideally, I want a 650 - 700 in math. Is that possible by October? I want to try...

The best way to get better at mathematics is to do mathematics.

Or, as the musicians say, practice makes permanent. (Or perfect, depending on which musician you ask.)

Consider the Xiggi method

There are a lot of posts in this thread. To make it manageable, try to stick to Xiggi's posts. There are a number of theoretical side discussions, which are interesting, but October is coming up quickly.

In a nutshell, the way you get better at understanding the test and taking the test is to take the test and understand why your answers are right or wrong. Also, try to look for shortcuts to bubbling in the right answer which will save you time. Xiggi recommends using the collegeboard blue book, since it contains real SAT tests. Try to observe patterns to the questions that will allow you to solve problems faster.

KEEP DOING PRACTICE TESTS!!! Best way to do work + math under pressure... Also get a lot of books from the library... Seriously though, overload yourself....

don't make stupid mistakes...seriously. my scores varied from 650-800 depending on how many stupid mistakes I made. I got an 800 on the real thing though. :-D
