So the acceptances (and rejections) have started rolling in and its time to revisit (and visit for the first time) some of my schools.

I personally hate listening to the long speeches about academics and going on tours of the schools, its starting to get real old. Ideally I would just like to drive to each of my schools and walk around alone for a day or two. I think this would be the most beneficial for me personally due to my independent nature and the fact that I really do not want any more of my parent's guidance at this stage. They have helped me a lot and love all of the schools I have been accepted to so I want to make sure the actual decision is all me.
However, this is not at all feasible due to my mom wanting to be involved and the fact that they would never allow me to roadtrip it a couple hundred miles to some of the schools.

So any suggestions from people who have been through this before??
This is turning out to be an awful decision for someone who is already awful at decisions. I'm thinking an overnight visit would be good.. any thoughts??
