Hoping that everyone's off to a very good start today!

Big hugs to our senior Owls, who are lapping up all that Rice offers and making their way step by step to graduation... may there be more memories to collect and savor!

Boundless appreciation to the very generous and exceptionally wise Rice parents who give so much time and energy to make things easier for other moms and dads here!

May our second term freshmen continue to thrive ... and hats off to our second term sophomores and juniors who rise to every challenge and sparkle along the way!

And, not to forget my thanks to all the terrific owls who are the heart of this list – who are living the life and truly know what’s going on! And, gratitude to Antarius’ dedication to this forum!

And warmest wishes to all the high school seniors who are waiting to get word!

Amen, sista’! This is the last semester for senior DS, and he is not looking forward to graduating - loves being around the people at Rice!! (And really likes the cafeteria ladies and all the good hot food they make. No cook at my house, and no cook wherever he ends up!!!)

Anxiousmom, graduation aside, you’re still sticking around here – right!!!
Same to our other fantastic senior moms who answer all the tough questions … right!!!

awwww

But seriously, thanks to all of you guys. Ottoline for your interesting posts and anxiousmom for correcting me when I give people wrong answers by mistake :D

And spotlights on blackeyedsusan and patsmom, who’ve written so many wise insights and will be out there proudly on graduation day-- and for our junior mom from Berkeley who’s added so many helpful thoughts … and for caring moms who have attended graduation and now share their Owls’ post-grad successes…

To one and all, may this spring term be a wonderful one at Rice University!

Time sure has flown, hasn’t it?

I’ve been here since…gulp…before the current forum format. That would be…double gulp… in the year of 2003. I guess I’m not going anywhere! ;)

Anxiousmom, I’ve added this to my list of good news for the day. And I hope that
blackeyedsusan and patsmom are staying put too.

And I also hope that all our freshman and sophomore parents keep sharing news and impressions and treasure the terms ahead. Like patsmom said – time has been flying by!
