<p>William & Mary is by far the best for undergrads.</p>
<p>East Carolina/West Virginia- worst? so many to choose from.</p>
<p>I don’t think it’s fair to say that UC Merced is the worst–it’s too new to say. (Not to mention with the tons of money being poured into the school to build new facilities and such…)</p>
<p>It’s hard to say which state university is the “worst.” There comes a point when they’re all pretty much equal in quality. Among the top 100 (as per US News)?</p>

<p>Worst is Arizona State? Don’t think so. Last I checked, Arizona State was on USNWR’s ranking of top national universities. I can name a lot of state schools that you’ve probably never heard of that wouldn’t even make tier 5 on that list. Arizona State certainly isn’t among them.</p>
<p>You can do worse than UC Riverside. Maybe CSU Chico or something…</p>

<p>I don’t want to be a hater, but I’d think that some random state schools in the South are pretty awful. Or states like Wyoming, Montana, and West Virgina…</p>
<p>there are some pretty horrible small state schools here in louisiana. if you’re talking flagships LSU would probably be towards the bottom of the list also</p>

<p>hmm, I’m pretty sure Arizona State is worst too. Ranks don’t mean much, and have any of you read the scandal a while back? Arizona tried to bribe one of the leading magazine in ranking school for $10k. It’s also a party school…not a very good school in terms of academics</p>
