which colleges have the best of the following?
pre med...
political science...

pre-med doesn't matter. The things that "top" (in air quotes) schools offer have a lot more to do with things like advising, interview prep, and opportunities for research that are hard to quantify and actually rank. And even then, if you're comparing top privates to big state universities, it's not that State U doesn't have the exact same things, just that they aren't likely to be so readily apparent, and you as a student wishing to take advantage of them might have to do a little more work to find them.

Avoid looking at the % acceptance to medical school rates, as they are easily manipulated, and don't take into account the types of students that are going to be in that undergrad institution (For example is it any surprise that Harvard has a higher placement rate to medical school than random stateU when you consider the typical Harvard student?). The things that help one get into Harvard or any other "top" school are the exact same things that help one get into medical school: intelligence, work ethic, time management, standardized test taking ability, perseverance, etc., it's not because they went to Harvard that they get into medical school.
