My high school senior did not get in to Binghamton School of Management but they offered him a spot in Harpur College which has an Actuarial Science track in the Math Department. He did get into Stony Brook College of Business for Business Management. Which gives him a better career path as far as salary potential?
That’s not the question to ask. The question is what does he want to do with his degree ? Actuary is a wonderful field that pays well IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN IT. If he wants to do marketing or operations, then he can’t do that at Binghamton.
You should base the decision on the better fit…so campus vibe and all that but fit includes being able to study what you want.
