I have benefits for 2 years of study and would like to use them for a final two years at a more expensive and higher ranked school than I have already been admitted to (Saint Louis University). I am faced with the choice between a community college and playing soccer (SBCC) or a state school and no soccer (SIUe). Which will give me the better opportunity to transfer after two years? Or is the opportunity so close that it does not matter as long as the GPA is there? Please advise. Cheers.
If money is not a probably I wold say go to where you were accepted too. If you would like to save money your first two years and not be in so much debt when you graduate I would say start at a community college. There is nothing wrong with starting at a community college and transferring later on. You save so much money that way and have more options as well. Hope it all works out for you. I am starting my prerequisites at my local community college and transferring next year, all I can say is I have saved so much money and so glad I took the much cheaper route.
transfer students ftw - why pay more for the same classes? plus if you screw up it’s not gonna hurt nearly as bad
Community gets priority.
