Ive taken Microeconomics, id say it was about a 5 on a scale of 1 to 10 w/ 1 being easiest.

Next year ill be taking American History (My school is small so im studying it by myself)

But I was thinking i should take another... preferably in something id like to major in so colleges can see dedication. I was thinking either statistics, macroeconomics, psychology, or US or Comp Government

Which one would be the easiest test for me to get a 5 on, and also you find the most interesting. Because im studying them by myself, i dont want it to be an overwhelming amount of work. So id like to here your recommendations.

Statistics is easy to self study for. I don't know much about Econ or Gov as I'm taking them next year. No idea about psychology either. I DO know, however, that many great colleges (most Ivies, i think) don't give you any credit for any score on US or Comp Government.
I did Stat for self study and I'm confident about a 5 on it even with major cramming in the last 4 weeks before exam.

lol, studying for an ap exam 4 weeks before the test day is not cramming, try something like 4 days.

Psych is by far the easiest out of those AP's. I took the course and I did absolutely nothing, if you look at my notebook, the notes stopped around october. I studied for the exam about 5 days before and I'm pretty confident I got a 5. Not to mention psychology in itself is a pretty interesting subject, I learned a few things that I'll never forget. So my recommendation, go for psych, you'll enjoy it and getting a 5 isn't exactly difficult.

Btw, if you get a 5 on ap psych, almost all colleges let you out of psych 101, unlike the gov ap's where you get absolutely nothing.

Is psych really that easy? Or are you one of those kids that reads something once and thats it, youll remember it for four years? Im not a super genius, Im a slightly above average kid. Anyone else?

Buy PR for it and study it well. I was getting 3's on practice tests at the beginning of the year. I read through PR the weekend before the AP US Govt exam, and I know I got a 4 or 5.

It doesn't cover court cases very well, so you'd want to research that on your own.

Psychology is pretty easy. I did it for 2 month, a little bit each week, and i was well prepared. I'm sure if you have the time, one month is enough. Barron's is very good, but i also used PR, both has great practice test, but Barron's got better text.

I think im going to do statistics, because my school has a scholars program, and we cover it a bit, and it will help towards my major (econ). It is also a more respectable AP then US govt. Thanks

Id love input on if people think self studying stats is a good idea

Yeah, I would also throw in a vote for psych. It was a really fun class. I didnt learn much until the day before the AP though. I think I would have scored almost the same without taking the exam except for the one FRQ about Schizophrenia which I might've tanked without having taken the course. I would recommend psychology A.P.

My former bf took both psych and stat in high school... he said psych was by far the easiest out of those two, even those he's more of a math person. Also, it sounded pretty enjoyable and interesting from his descriptions as IOwnedMay5SAT (nice username, btw), mentioned.

Psych and Stats were by far the two easiest APs I took in high school, so I think you would be safe with either of those. I haven't taken the others.

Psych is the easiest b/c all you have to really do is memorize vocab, psychologist and major ideas and your set. I not too sure abput stats takign it next year. Heard its way easier then Calc
