Beverly Cleary is located right behind Unit 3. It only has 4 floors but there are more room per floors so you get more floormates. The rooms are huge! I had a double there and there was so much space for me and my roommate. Compare to the other units, i’ll say the rooms are 1.5 size bigger. And there are lounges on every floor. The hall is more like a Z-shape. It’s way more comfortable than the other units and it does feel like a hotel. Only bad thing is that there is only one laundry room for the whole building so make sure to do laundry when there isn’t much people or you can go across the street to the unit 3 laundry room. I really enjoyed living there last year and so did all my floormates. Hope you enjoy living there!

I’m moving to an apartment this year. You don’t really have a choice for the buildings, it’s pretty much random. So I always say that people who live in Beverly Cleary are lucky because they pay the same as others who live in the Units but get a way bigger room.

I lived in a Cleary double last year, too. panda888 pretty much detailed the important stuff. Yeah, laundry was a bit annoying, but if you pick off-hours to do your laundry, you’ll be fine. Besides, you can’t really complain about in-building laundry. Coupled with bigger hallways, (much) bigger rooms, and really cool RAs (including yours truly), Cleary is a terrific residence hall to spend your year.

So, about the rooms in beverly cleary hall, are there 4 closets like in the other halls in unit 3 or is it different? Is the floor plan the same as the rooms in the other halls of unit 3? I am so psyched

I also am going to be living in Cleary Hall this upcoming semester and am looking to bring a TV. Where do people usually put them? I was thinking something in the 22" or 26" range? Is 26" too big or, since the rooms are bigger, will it be a good size?

Is the layout of the room itself pretty much the same? Aren’t there way less people living in Cleary Hall since it’s only 4 floors?

I am super super super super super stoked about living in BC next year. PPl say that Bevery Cleary rooms are bigger, and i know I only have to wait one more week to find this out, but the suspense is killing me right now, I’ve even gone on google maps street view to try to approximate it mentally, but can anyone who’s seen or lived in a Beverly Cleary triple/double room approximate the dimensions? The high rise rooms measure 13.2" x 13.9" if it helps to make a comparison. Also, how more spacious are the bathrooms in BC than in the high rises? Are the stalls separated from each other/ are they bigger?..etc. If anyone can answer my questions, it would seriously make my day. Thanks a bunch in advance

How’s the internet connection in the halls? Should I bring a router with ethernet cable so I can use my laptop wirelessly? Also, for a TV, does the hall have cable? I’d like to be able to watch Comedy Central (The Daily Show and The Colbert Report) on TV, so I don’t have to wait a day or anything to see them on their respective websites. That and 24, which comes out in January.

Hi Anyone Lived in Beverly Cleary/ Inconnu: Can anyone tells me if the room no. goes in order like rm 201, 202, 203 from left to right side of hall OR it is like hotel odd no. on left, right no. on right side. (I know high-rise resid halls are in order 201, 202, 203…) I am moving in soon, got rm 229. Is that the last room all the way down the hall? Any bad history ever happened in the building? Is there 4 bathrooms altogether, 2 each gender? In the middle of hallway centralized? And is elevator right at entrance of building or centralized in the middle? Any prompt reply is really appreciated. Ths.

I lived in Beverly Cleary freshman year, and really enjoyed my experience. The bathrooms are not gender-specific. The elevator is located pretty close to the entrance of the building (not centralized, you have to walk down to the end of the hall to get to it). I think 229 is relatively close to the far end of the hall, but I’m not sure if it’s all the way to the end.
