@tlm333 NYU will send an email about a week before releasing acceptances/declines to let students know the date. The subject line will be something like update on admission.
Edited to add- that email should come this week. GL to all that applied.

Sending out more congratulations to everyone for their acceptances!! We have been trying to keep busy and just returning from our Spring Break. Next few days will be torture in our house, as a bulk of D’s decisions will come out at the end of the week and over the weekend! My D does not like to even talk about it at this point and is trying to make fun plans for the days ahead to keep her mind off the wait! We can’t believe that we are finally nearing the end! Best of luck to all!
@FamLawTX We have one arriving today also.
3 big decisions expected for us too this weekend @Jazzycats ! Friday, Saturday, Sunday!
Did anyone get emails from Pace BFA FCTV or just acceptance/waitlist/decline letters? I thought we would hear by the 15th, but we have not heard anything
@lakadk My D received a personal email on 2/28 from the head person of the Pace FTVC program…acceptance phone calls went out throughout last week…D got her phone call on 3/13…and notification letters are starting to come in via snail mail.
@Jazzycats @SoCalPops What decisions come out on the weekend? We are still waiting on six, including two non-audition BA schools. I want answers already! In other words I am feeling the torture Jazzycats referenced.
@2artskidz - I will share with everyone at the end of receiving all of the admissions decisions, her complete list, and results. Per D’s request. But it is so hard to keep it contained!
My S got an alternate list spot for BFA Acting at Pace, is this a good thing? What is the likeklyness coming off the list?
@jrutledge That’s good. If the person who is the same “type” as him declines, your S is the next in line to be accepted for that type.
@jrutledge I don’t know specifically about Pace, but it is my opinion that a wait list or alternate spot is a good thing. Always better than a 'No". Our kids are all applying to so many schools and they can ultimately only attend one, so spots will free up. I assume much of this happens in late April or even after “decision day”.
So, congratulations and hang in there to see what happens if this the school he really wants to go to! I guess I can use this time to remind people to release their accepted spots as they make decisions not to attend certain schools, as there are always others waiting in the wings.
@workinggirl25 This sounds both better and worse than a waitlist, haha ! So I’m assuming if his “type” accepts the direct offer he has no chance? Better than a direct rejection
Being an alternate at Pace is a good thing!!! (My D was one until she was accepted at the end of April last year)
@Gapyearguru end of April sounds like a lightyear away, lol. congrats to your D ! What program is she in??
Being an alternate at Pace is definitely a good thing. You should be proud of yourself! If the person in front of you declines the offer, you will be offered the spot. That is far more likely than a generic waitlist. In a regular waitlist situation, some schools extend more offers than spots and don’t necessarily go to the WL every time someone declines. In general, getting Alternate and WL spots are still a huge affirmation of your talent and fit. They just get more talented students than they can accept which means you need both talent, and a bit of luck, to get the spot.
@jrutledge She’s in MT. My youngest was accepted to FTVC, but she hasn’t made a decision yet
Yes my D received a snail mail acceptance from Pace Acting BFA on Friday.
For those traveling coast to coast over Easter break, I found flights on Southwest for $240 r/t from LAX to Newark. Catch is, you have to travel on Tue and/or Wed. Southwest doesn’t use subscribe to travel search sites. I use SW often, business and personal. Get 'em while you can. Purchasing less than 21 days out it the worst time to buy.
.
My D just got an email to check her portal…she got a YES from Rutgers/Mason Gross School of the Arts! Yay! She auditioned at LA Regionals.
