BFA Theater

My daughter was admitted to the BFA Acting program. I have a few questions. Is there a better place for theater majors to live in relationship to her classes? I know she'll be out late and would like to find the optimal housing situation.

She is coming in from out of state and we have another child in college. Financial aid was in the form of a small loan. I'm not sure how we will be able to swing the two of them next year. Does anyone have any experience in working with the financial aid office. When I spoke to them they were not helpful. She has been offered scholarship money at other institutions and I am thinking that given the current economic situation we may have to go with her second choice.

Any advice will be appreciated...

douglass, new gibbons, which is located right across from mason gross. or jameson, which is built like a quad and has two theaters in the actual quad (jameson project and cabarat theater). living-learning communities are housed here, which could be of interest to you daughter.

and by working with the fin aid office, do you mean bartering for a better offer?

also, if she joins Douglass Residential College, she can apply for some scholarships, about 1 to 2,000 dollars. it doesn’t seem like much, but in this climate, anything can help.
