When it comes time to contact your BGO, what do you say? Do you just say that you want to take the next step in the admissions process, or would you start with something else?

perhaps start with a letter of introduction- include why you are interested in attending the naval academy- include your contact information- they will contact you from there. Do your homework in the meantime, and try and find out as much as possible- read the USNA catalogue, Smallwood's "candidate guide to the USNA" book for starters-

We just talked to Cindy to get our BGO's info. She is the greatest and my daughter had her first phone call from her BGO last night here in the ATL! He is amazing! Very Exciting!

SoaringEagle... When you contact your BGO they will love that you took the initiative to contact them and they will want to hear ALLLLL about you and they know all the questions to ask.. LOTS and LOTS of questions. If you dont have the catalog yet .. one of the things they will do is get one out to you. And the sooner you contact the BGO the better.. My daughter's said last night that they would really like to start meeting prospectives their sophmore year of HS!

thanks for the help
