Last Thursday, I received a call from my senator's office informing me that I had received an appointment to USNA under the senator’s nomination. After informing my BGO of my acceptance that night, yesterday (Sunday), I received a call from him stating that he had yet to see my acceptance posted online in what I assume is the BGO equivalent of the CIS. Are there any BGO's out there that could explain this? Would USNA take several days to post this information online? And as of Monday, I have yet to receive anything in the mail either.
I'm sure this is nothing, but anything that could possibly jeopardize my appointment has me more than a bit worried.
Thanks for any help.

i'm not sure if that's the same here, cause i was also notified of my appointment by my senator. yet my bgo has yet to say anything. I haven't told him the good news though, and i think i will probably be calling him later today/this week. i think those who give you your nomination gets the opportunity of telling the candidate themselves first. i could be wrong.

Mighty Rooster, I have a vested interest in your Senator's other appointment. He called me the same day you found out. Checked my "CIS" two minutes ago. Nothing. The CGO tells the MOC a week or so in advance so that the initial congratuations can come from the MOC himself. Relax. It is normal. You can continue crowing.

OBTW, you are not a displaced SC gamecock are you??

Haha, it seems everyone loves me name here. haha. No, I'm not a gamecock...just one of many from the wolfpack at NCSU. But hopefully I'll be something to do with a goat named Bill pretty soon :-) Thanks a lot for the timely response!

cockadoodledo!

USNA69- so I assume your from NC? What part of the state are you from, if you dont mind me asking?

mightyrooster....our case had the Congressman know before the BGO page was updated as well. Your BGO will get informed, don't worry. USNA Admissions always includes the MOC in their Appointment notifications. It takes someone else to log that data online for the BGO's site - which, as you surmised, is their equivalent of the CIS.
