So I contacted my BGO about a week or so ago. I sent him an e-mail, and I got an e-mail back immediately the next day. He basically said congratulations, asked what days/times were best for me for the interview, and then asked for a contact number so he could call me. I sent him an e-mail back the same day I received the e-mail.

So it's a week later and I haven't received an e-mail confirming that he received my e-mail or a phone call to talk about times... Since he responded so quickly the first time, I'm wondering if maybe something was wrong with the second e-mail I sent and that he didn't receive it...? Or maybe it's just taking a while.

Should I send an e-mail to check that he received my information? Or is that too pushy?

EDIT: ... For some reason the BGO in the title isn't in all caps. :p

I would follow up with a telephone call. Your BGO may be away on travel or be on vacation. BGOs are volunteers who have other responsibilities besides working with USNA candidates.

Ive had the same thing with my BGO sometimes I get a quick email back other times it takes 2 weeks. but he always eventually gets back to me, supposed to have my interview in September Im nervous and excited for that.

BGOs come in all shapes and sizes. Some are very computer literate. Some only check their emails when the grandkids visit and turn the computer on for them. On my initial contact with each candidate, I express my preferred method of communication. If yours doesn't, ask. If it is by phone, make sure you ask for all the numbers that he will allow you to have: cell, work, home. Also ask the best time to call. Don't be bashful.
