Hi,I'm currently a high school junior. I want to go into the medical profession and be a surgeon, but for my undergrad purposes was thinking of doing a business major rather than a typical "pre-med" major. I want to apply to the UT Business Honors Program. What are my chances? My credentials are:
Sat: 2220 (2230 superscore) (I'll be taking one more to hopefully raise it to a 2250)
ACT: 34
Rank: 14/530
GPA: 4.0
I've taken 10 ap classes up to date (Biology, Chemistry, Physics B, Calculus AB, Statistics, Psychology, Lang, Economics, World History, Human Geo)

E.C:
President in one club and an officer in another
I have made state DECA (business) all three years, internationals the last two years, and made finals this year
I also have made national HOSA competition and that’s later this summer

I spent all this last year researching neurosurgery and have been mentoring under the CMO of a county hospital and a surgeon at UTSW. I have a 200 page portfolio to show what I've done. I also have shadowed doctors in India.

I wrote a 30 page business plan for DECA one year, and that business plan is actually being put into action now.

I have also done Indian dance for the last 11 years. I have won two competitions and my choreography has won first at one.

My recs should be killer. I either plan on submitting one from a teacher who is an UT alumni or from my neurosurgery mentor.

What do I need to make better? and do I have a decent shot?
Thanks
