I’m applying for engineering undergraduate schools. Am I at a disadvantage for being White and Asian? Or does it help the college’s demographic statistics because I am bi-racial? Not very important, I’ve just always been curious.
Most places only collect the demographics to keep the state and federal departments of education happy. Don’t worry about this. Check as many boxes as you feel represent you, or leave them all blank. The institutions have to ask you for the information, but you are not obligated to provide it.
