Ok so here's my dilemma.

Next saturday I am taking Chemistry and BIO-M. So far I have one subject test score (Math 2-780), which I am happy with. This is my last chance to take the subject tests for college, because I am taking the regular SAT in october.

I'd like to apply to Penn early, and they only require two subject tests. If I focus all my attention on Chem I know I can get a 780+ no problem. But if I try to work between the two I might be in the 750 range for chem and maybe even lower for bio.

I may be applying to schools like georgetown that require 3 and I have taken a good deal of bio courses (I am a med "major" in my school). But I'd really like those two solid scores as opposed to two OK scores and a good one.

What are your thoughts??

i say take both and see how u do, u said u’ve taken a lot of bio classes so u will probably do well in bio…so maybe focus more on chem prep, but i would still take both, so that u won’t have to worry about admissions requirements to georgetown.
do the colleges u r looking at take act scores too? cuz then u can take the act in september, retake any subject tests u need to in october, and still make the early decision deadline
and wow your math score is killer, i’m taking it this saturday, any tips? :)

Hey… thanks the thing is I want to bring up my 690 on reading to a 730+ (I’m at a 2240 right now and that would make it great). So i can’t take the ST’s in october

so im more worried about getting into penn anyway so hmm im not sure

yeah sure… what I did was I only used one book: barrons. Use it, learn it from cover to cover and just worry about that one book. Be ready for one matrix question but don’t stress. Be ready for conics. I would take the barrons practice tests, try to score around a 750 and understand ALL your mistakes. Then you should do more than fine… Also make sure not to go too slow on the test. Anyway thats all! :)

if you’re applying ED to Penn, can’t you take SAT IIs in November?

I’m pretty sure the deadlines nov 1st yeah?

yea but you can always rush your scores right?
