Fancy scholarship at top LAC will yield a lot of opportunities.
Are both a good fit? Have you visited, attended a class in your major and a freshman English seminar, eaten in the cafeteria… ?
Any personal preference based on 'gut feeling '?
A top-30 university, unless it is one of the few that are undergraduate focused and have less than 10,000 students is likely to feel very different than a LAC- not better or worse, just different.
Best to try to answer the question @MYOS1634 posed regarding fit- size of classes, are classes taught by professors, are research opportunities available- does this matter, what’s the campus vibe like - something for everyone or like minded culture, is it a diverse student population, are athletics a big focus, is the location urban, suburban or rural - preference?
Given the difference between the US uni vs LAC structures vs what is available almost anywhere else, it’s distinctive and something to consider.
Do you have a Fiske guide, or access to niche?
If you give the names of the colleges, we can probably give our a better idea if the differences if you can’t find them on your own.
