And would anyone recommend using this service b.c im still unsure whether this is a good deal or if I should just bring everything home with me?

there are lots of mini-storage units around Ithaca - if there are spaces they may be willing to rent to you for a month - you need a classmate/friend to drive you over to them - bout 10 minutes from north campus...that would be cheaper than trying to put your stuff on a rent a truck or whatever...

if you can get a ride, let me know and I will get the name of the place where my d stored her stuff- it was amazingly clean (or courese I haven't seen it since May!!)

Don’t use Big Red Storage unless you only have one (maybe two) packages - their rates are super high. Get a few friends who also need storage and split the cost of a self-storage unit for the three months. It’s much cheaper and you can store much, much more.

Does anyone have a recommendation for the best place to store your stuff over the summer? My daughter is a freshman at Cornell and will need to find storage because we live on the West Coast. I haven’t been able to tear her away from her studies to figure this out - I would appreciate hearing about any places people have used that were convenient/inexpensive/safe. Thanks!

BIG RED STORAGE is the easiest but most expensive option b/c they can pick up and/or deliver the stuff into your room before you even get back from summer break…

another option is to do a self-storage with friends…or sometimes people who are leasing a house have room in their basement over the summer…
