@8888: you should spend today doing mostly genetics stuff, that’s gonna be on the test the most

Knowing Helen, she would probably put something ridiculous on the quiz. I guess it is time to start memorizing.

K. I’ll spend the rest of my day on genetics.
I literally just started learning genetics like yesterday…
before yesterday i didn’t know what wildtype vs mutants were…
didn’t know in meiosis the homologous chromosomes pair up…
pretty much nothing … zomg. is it learnable in a night?

wait i don’t get it… how do you know S represents straight flying…
how’s that S is dominated over S+.
This is what i know:
S is mutant and S+ is wildtype.
S is dominant… but dominant over what? both are capitals.

Also, anyone watch the review webcasts for bio1al from previous years?

are they worth watching…? there’s like 3 or 4.

S represents straight flying cuz of the letter, S stands for straight flying in fruitfly notation

S is dominant over S+

genetics really isn’t learnable in a night unless you’re tastybeef lol = a genius

yeah the reviews are good, he emphasizes everything that’s gonna be on the test i think in there, i watched the fall 2008 one and it was good

^
oh…
so if it was E+/E, the dominant would be…Evasive?
and straight would be wild type?

oh boy. im going to be tastybeef for the night.

Thanks. I’ll watch the reviews… i guess

yup for both

hmm… i think that explains some of my confusion.
gracias.

Does the primer show up on the electrophroesis gel ? no right?

N vs. C.
N is number of pairs.
C is… chromosomes?

nah C is the designated letter for amount of dna. so like if it’s doubled, then 2c.

and aerial, that quiz was long as hell. lol i also didn’t study too hard for it, so all the brute memory stuff just flew past my head. :(

can someone tell me what the seating assignments are?

omg i am freaking out so much
anyone else up studying right now?

sup

@hrhcow: check bspace, think it’s there

im studying. o boy.

Is anybody fully prepared? I feel like everybody I know taking the class has partially given up since its so much confusing work for little return (2 units).

honestly, I think I will get some form of an A but it probably will be a minus.

yeah, i’m just aiming to pass. there is way to much work for what it is.

wow why were you guys still up at 4.

how do you know that aldehyde moves slower than carboxylic acid side chains?
