He briefly visited the campus a few years back to attend a service but this time he will be speaking at two events. Remarkably, he is speaking at both for free.

Being down here in Texas, I am surrounded by Republicans. People knock Clinton becasue of his personal matters, but the guy is extremely intelligent. He came from poverty and created his own success. I definitely respect that.

Clinton is the man. Now he is working in Harlem helping to rebuild the community. The guy is nothing but steller. Funny though, at his library opening when GW Bush was speaking, Clinton looked glaringly at him, like, how is this idiot President?

richard nixon was thrown out because of investigative journalism.... we are lacking that in the struggle against bush.... the impeachment of clinton was a republican witchhunt which was unsuccessful specifically becasue people realized that he is an awesome man and under his leadership we had peace and prosperity... I love Clinton

True, he was impeached by the House of Representatives, but he was also suspended from the practice of law in his home state of Arkansas, and disbarred by the United States Supreme Court.

Of course these days all manner of criminals, terrorists, drug-abusers and ersatz "celebrities" are big draws on campus, so being impeached and disbarred are viewed as minor offenses, simply adding to Clinton's notoriety and appeal.

Bush is an absolute hypocrite. Here is Texas, the legislation he passed when he was govenor, punishes someone who breaks the law for the rest of their lives. No matter how small the offense, you can bet Texas is going to make your life hell for a long time. That's funny coming from a president who had many rushes with the law when he was younger.
I wonder how many current politicians have criminal records?

ThomasH32, there was a big scandal in 1968 about Edward Kennedy and the death of a prostitute in a car accident in which they were both involved. The car went off a bridge and into the water. Kennedy was safe but the prostitute "mysteriously" disappeared, so it became a huge scandal. That's one of the reasons that he'd never run for president.

Maybe...just maybe if he would have been more engaged with the nation's security instead of staining the seal on the presidential carpet Osama might have been captured in Somalia. Singing the praises for this man because of his intelligence is shallow. Is anyone praising Newt Gingrich who arguably might be a wee bit more intelligent than the Slickmeister. The man will always be remembered for his famous statement. "I did not have" blah, blah with that woman. Remember he looked us in the eye.
I would have preferred that he kept his mouth shut.
BTW.... Clinton also believed that Saddam had WMD's and so did John Kerry, Hillary, Joe Biden, etc. It was never the only reason that we went in. Don't forget the countless UN resolutions. Don't the people in the mass graves and the children in prison because their parents weren't Bathists disturb anyone?

There are countless atrocities the world over that our government ignores. And don't forget that our government has at times done worse. Ask yourself why Iraq was targeted.

Soccart7: I'm sorry, but I felt compelled to correct your reference to the Kennedy accident in 1968. Mary Jo Kopechne was the woman in Kennedy's car...and she happened to be a campaign worker for his brother, Bobby. Just wanted to point that out; I believe she was a respectable, if unfortunate, young woman...but certainly not a prostitute.
