Binders for college

Is a 1 1/2 inch binder for each class enough in college? That's the size I used in HS for all AP classes and even for some honors classes. I filled up one of those size binders each semester, so I ended up with 2 of those for each AP class (sometimes more than 2 actually, I take a lot of notes!)

What I'd put in each: typed lecture notes printed off, some written textbook notes (unless I highlight in the book instead for the said class), a pocket folder for handouts, tab separators to organize either by section type (lecture, text notes, exams, etc. tabs) or by chapters (or units...idk yet).

It will depend on the class… A class with a lot of readings + powerpoints will fill up a binder fast.

That will probably work. Just find whatever works for you because everybody is different.

That would easily be enough for me, but I do English so I don’t use that many materials, until I come to research and write my essays.

Ffs, just get whatever you feel will benefit you most. Don’t get materials that could be unnecessary before school starts because you will have plenty of time throughout the semester to buy anything you need.

depends on the class and your organizational personality

I’ve rarely used binders. I usually just use folders. Most of my classes haven’t been heavy on printed materials though.
