I am really sure that I want to go to medical school. I've also heard that the prestige of your school can affect med school admissions. So with this in mind should I go to macaulay honors which despite everything else, is a CUNY program, or should I go to Binghamton. I would prefer Macaulay honors but my parents have doubts. Please help me out

I graduated from Binghamton, and it’s a great, fun place - I chose it over Hunter, though not honors. I think it really depends on which CUNY campus. If Hunter - maybe. Others, no - go to Bing. Especially if you grew up in NYC, the experience of getting away is invaluable.

I’m not on often, but would be happy to answer any questions by email. I was not Pre-Med, but I was an RA and very involved on campus.

Macaulay! If you can pay Bing, without loans, then, well still, I think macaulay is a better deal and it’s getting more well known as it ages. I got in for next years class as well! Plus, going back to loans, if you’re planning to go to med school, free tuition for four years makes a noticable difference, especially when taking out med school loans.
